Value Statements
We believe that children learn best when they are in a safe and respectful environment; therefore, we will:
  1. Model and encourage a respectful learning environment.
  2. Approach children’s mistakes and achievements with guidance and dignity.
  3. Continue to reinforce positive behaviors through RESPECT and the Principal’s 200 Club.
  4. Promote school-wide procedures and expectations among the school’s community.
We believe that children learn best when high levels of achievement are encouraged; therefore, we will:
  1. Encourage students to achieve their individual potential through high expectations.
  2. Develop activities and lessons that promote divergent higher level thinking.
  3. Communicate learning and behavioral objectives to students and parents.
  4. Promote autonomous learning through self-motivating activities.
We believe that children learn best when the needs of ALL learners are met through an excitement of learning; therefore, we will:
  1. Teach the Power Standards through high interest themes and activities.
  2. Address all learning styles with a variety of teaching tool.
  3. Utilize varied grouping arrangements and instructional strategies to respect individual learning styles.
  4. Provide meaningful, real world, hands on experiences that fuel student interest and encourage responsibility for their own learning.
  5. Celebrate each child as an individual with unique gifts and talents.
