Principal's Message

Welcome to Lummis Elementary School! I am very excited and honored to be the principal of William Lummis Elementary school. I have been an educator for the past 19 years and have loved every minute of those years. I am a native of Nevada and graduated from Western HS…a long time ago. I have taught first, second and sixth grade. I have also been a school guidance counselor and a facilitator for homeless education. I am please to say that we have a staff that is dedicated to ensuring that all students achieve the best quality education possible. Our staff uses a variety of resources from textbooks, hands-on materials and technology. We look forward to parent participation at our school. Research clearly proves that there is a positive relationship between students’ achievement and the degree to which their parents are involved with their education.
